Margherita Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 200g of pizza dough
  • 100g of crushed tomatoes
  • 150g of fresh mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of sugar

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • pizza stone
  • rolling pin
  • mixing bowl
  • baking sheet
  • pizza cutter

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 250°C (475°F) and place the pizza stone inside to heat up.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet or pizza peel.
  • Spread the crushed tomatoes evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Tear the fresh mozzarella cheese into small pieces and distribute them over the tomato sauce.
  • Drizzle olive oil on top, and sprinkle with salt and a pinch of sugar to enhance the flavor.
  • Carefully transfer the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone in the oven.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and add fresh basil leaves on top before serving.
